Logistics Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing four key freight areas: Production, Customer, International Customer, and International Ocean Freight to the U.S.
• Ensure timely and efficient shipping of goods according to customer requirements.
• Plan transportation routes, select modes of transport, and track shipments from pick-up to delivery.
• Reroute freight as necessary to meet demand and minimize costs.
• Assemble load fragments into consolidated loads, balancing savings, service, and legal requirements.
• Communicate fulfillment status and issues with Supply Planning, Logistics Management, Sales, and Customer Service.
• Handle administrative tasks, including invoice approvals, routing, tracking, and document completion (BOLs, Pick-up Sheets, etc.).
• Negotiate claims/shortages with carriers and third-party warehouses.
• Specialize in Costco logistics, including load tenders and working with international freight forwarders.
• Assist with the implementation of a domestic TMS platform launching in 2024.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, ocean freight, rail, or supply chain management.

Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety training.

Strong knowledge of “Less Than Truck Load” (LTL) shipping.

Basic understanding of export shipping documents (NAFTA, Commercial Invoices, etc.).

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and experience with SAP preferred.
