Power Distribution Electrical Engineer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to oversee the maintenance and reliability of our Plant’s power distribution system and process line equipment. This role encompasses managing AC and DC systems across various voltage levels and ensuring the operational integrity of plant rotating equipment and air compressors.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the reliability of the Plant power distribution system and associated equipment.
• Lead the Maintenance Department or coordinate with contracted personnel on engineering projects aimed at enhancing equipment reliability.
• Develop specifications for contracted work and conduct safety orientations for personnel.
• Inspect and test completed electrical installations to ensure compliance with safety standards and design specifications.
• Formulate Quality Standard Maintenance Practices for equipment maintenance and operation.
• Create Lock Out/Tag Out/Try Out procedures to safeguard personnel and equipment.
• Respond to emergency situations related to equipment failures and power outages, ensuring a swift resolution.
• Schedule preventative and predictive maintenance of the electrical distribution system and process equipment.
• Manage maintenance for HVAC systems and overhead cranes within the Plant.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in industrial wiring, controls, and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with PLCs, AC/DC drives, and HMI setup, programming, and configuration.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience supervising a team or readiness to assume a supervisory position.
• Minimum of three years of engineering experience in an industrial environment.
• Proven success in supervisory roles.
