Position Overview

This position is responsible for quality element control related to operation, auditing policy and procedure, leading quality improvement projects, driving defect prevention and detection. The position supervises Quality Supervisor, Quality Auditors, Sampling Technicians, and Quality Improvement Associates/Engineers.

  • sWork with Quality Director to develop, document and implement quality plans, procedures, instructions and test equipment
  • .Leads and monitors quality improvemen
  • tAudits implementation of quality system for effectiveness by verifying operation activities to company, customer, and regulatory specification
  • .Monitors corrective action syste
  • mPlays a key role in developing a comprehensive quality progra
  • mImplements the quality system detailed in the quality manua
  • lChampions the total quality improvement efforts and initiates problem solving efforts and assures implementatio
  • nDrives prevention vs. detection of defect
  • sCoordinates actions to prevent the occurrences of non-conformitie
  • sMaintains customer compliance resolutio
  • nResponsible for the maintenance of key performance metrics for the Quality Departmen
  • tControls Food Safety and Quality of processing and manufacturing within the busines
  • sSupports customer audits, government audits to meet complianc
  • eVerifies and insures company policies and procedures are followe
  • dDevelops Standard Operating Procedure
  • sMonitors employees on proper work procedures to ensure maximum productivity and security with minimum labor and cost
  • sResponsible for performance evaluation, coaching, counseling, and preparing corrective action for employees and liaises appropriately with HR and other support function
  • sManages work flow balancing – the division of responsibilities among employees on each shift including assignment of responsibilities and workstation
  • sIn conjunction with Quality Director determines when and whether to call employees in to cover staffing needs (ex. Sick calls, vacation relief, medical leaves, volume changes, etc.
  • )In conjunction with Quality Director determines number of employees needed by shif
  • tResponsible for employee retention and monitors employee turnove
  • rShared responsibility with Production Manager for sanitation program which includes sanitation procedures, housekeeping, and pest control procedures that are required per 21 CFR part 111 Section 111.1
  • 5Follows GMP standards, SOP’s, Food Safety Standards as well as workplace safety standards
