Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team!

Job Summary

As a member of the Quality Assurance Team, the Quality Assurance Specialist assists with implementation of the performance plan for Mountain View Hospital. The Quality Assurance Team directs the program in accordance with Mountain View Hospital’s mission and strategic goals. The Quality Assurance Team directs those activities within the facility which monitor organization performance. The goal of Quality Assurance is to continuously improve patient health outcomes through process design and performance measurement and assessment.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and summarizes performance improvement data from a clinical perspective and prepares and distributes reports/charts to the Quality Assurance Committee.
  • The position is responsible for ensuring that the program is designed to support multidisciplinary team initiatives. The position will ensure that quality improvement activities are directed toward analysis of data, with a focus on improvement of process.
  • Prepares reports for QA Committee designed to track various indicators that may identify trends or patterns. When potential problems are identified, will investigate and follow-up trends as directed by the Committee.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree preferred.

Experience: Background in Quality Improvement/Risk Management is helpful.

Language/Communication: Must communicate in a timely manner, clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Mental Capabilities: Demonstrates ability to understand and evaluate regulations and guidelines and apply them to the setting of MVH in a manner that will cause the least amount of stress and confusion to the professional staff and patients. Can evaluate suggestions and criticisms objectively and wherever necessary undertakes to change behavior or seek further guidance.

Interpersonal: Demonstrates skills in interpersonal relationships with patients and their families, co-workers, supervisors and management.

Performance: Demonstrates a clear understanding of the highly confidential nature of all facility and patient information and maintains confidentiality of patient information. Demonstrates personal integrity in holding this information in the strictest confidence. Exhibits an attitude, which promotes harmony and goodwill among patients, caregivers, and co-workers. Is self-motivated. Keyboard, word processing and spread sheet computer skills.
