Bible Proofreader and Copyeditor

Crossway is a not-for-profit publishing ministry. We are looking for a hard-working and committed person to join our licensing team to help us toward our goal of facilitating the global distribution of the ESV Bible and the publication and distribution of Crossway books in multiple languages and formats to equip the church around the world, for God's glory.

General Responsibilities

The Bible Proofreader and Copyeditor is responsible for proofreading and copyediting Crossway’s Bible and Bible resource projects

Qualifications:

• Experience copyediting or proofreading according to principles set forth in the The Chicago Manual of Style, 17th or 18th edition.
• Experience working in Microsoft Word.
• Experience working in Adobe InCopy, preferred but not necessary.
• Familiarity with the SBL Handbook of Style is a plus.
• Familiarity with biblical languages is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• A bachelor’s degree is required.
