The Human Resources (“HR”) Specialist will provide HR support for all business units by ensuring that HR procedures and processes run with high quality and efficiency. The HR Specialist will be responsible for comprehensive HR administrative and logistics support, all business unit new hire onboarding and offboarding, coordination of a range of administrative tasks, adherence to departmental deadlines, and is expected to become familiar with all HR systems. In addition to business unit support, they will execute special projects as needed with an eye toward continuous process improvement.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as first point of contact for inquiries into HR from internal and external clients, responding with a high level of customer service, professionalism, and promptness.
  • Process day-to-day transactions, accurately input data into HR systems and databases, and ensure proper transmission of confidential data to employees and relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct background checks, onboarding, and new hire orientation. Ensure all new hire paperwork is finalized.
  • Conduct exit interviews and coordinate smooth transitions for employees and managers.
  • Perform transactional entries, data tracking, and document maintenance in various systems and ensure accuracy in the company’s HR systems.
  • Track and monitor metrics related to turnover, performance management, document acknowledgment and produce other ad hoc reports, as required.
  • Provide excellent customer service support and proactive communication to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adhere to policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Service Level Agreements, and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with and provide back-up to HR team members and perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Support business unit by assisting with administrative recruiting related activities including conversion interviews, processing background checks, creating required reporting, as needed and serving as back-up in creating job requisitions.
  • Provide administrative support for leaves of absences for respective business unit as directed by HRBP in accordance with applicable regulations and company policy.
  • Provide administrative support for Worker’s Compensation cases, and Safety Administration by documenting, tracking, and generating documentation as directed by HRBP.
  • Maintain and process payroll documents and resolve employee questions.
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Human Resources administrative experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to deliver presentations before others
  • Knowledge of Labor Relations fundamentals preferred
  • Analytical - problem solver that seeks best solution(s)
  • Team Player - works well with others and is capable of collaborating across business units
  • Ethical with high compliance to institutional policies and standards
  • Strong sense of urgency and customer service
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects and priorities, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and meet varied deadlines
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Windows based applications; HR systems experience preferred


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires walking and sitting to a significant degree
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, to communicate to employees
  • Able to work extended hours as necessary
  • Able to work with standard office/computer Equipment
  • Capable of working in an open office environment and/or remotely

PAY RANGE: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour plus bonus
