Job Summary

The Corporate IT Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for managing IT operations across all domestic and international subsidiaries. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you will ensure the reliability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure. This position requires close collaboration with the IT GRC Director, Cybersecurity Analyst, Ecommerce development team, and other application developers to align IT operations with cybersecurity and governance requirements while supporting business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT Operations: Manage IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems, ensuring efficient, secure, and reliable operations.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with ecommerce developers, application developers, and third-party vendors to enhance performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure High Performance: Achieve and maintain high availability of IT infrastructure, meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Policy Implementation: Implement and manage IT operations policies and procedures in alignment with cybersecurity requirements and organizational goals.
  • Lead and Develop Teams: Lead IT operations teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Incident Management: Oversee and improve incident response procedures, ensuring timely and effective responses to IT incidents.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards, and support audit activities.
  • Process Improvement: Drive optimization within IT operations to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports To: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
  • Direct Reports: Network Administrators, Systems Administrators, and potentially other IT Operations staff
  • Collaborates With: IT GRC Director, Cybersecurity Analyst

Department Overview

The IT Operations Department manages the organization's IT infrastructure on a day-to-day basis. Each subsidiary has its own IT team or local vendor for support. The Corporate IT Operations Director ensures consistent IT operations and alignment with corporate policies and strategic objectives across all locations.

Required Experience

  • Years of Experience: 8-10 years in IT operations management, overseeing large-scale IT infrastructure and teams.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role managing IT teams, including Network Administrators and Systems Administrators.
  • Vendor Management: Experience managing IT vendor and service provider relationships.
  • Incident Management: Proven experience in incident response and IT operations management.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Experience ensuring compliance with IT regulations and industry best practices.

Required Skills

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, servers, storage, system management).
  • Leadership: Excellent skills in leading and motivating IT teams.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in planning, executing, and resource allocation for IT projects.
  • Problem-Solving: Advanced skills in addressing and resolving complex IT issues.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Vendor Coordination: Ability to coordinate effectively with external vendors and service providers.

Preferred Certifications

  • ITIL Certification: For IT service management best practices.
  • PMP Certification: For project management skills.
  • CompTIA Network+ or Similar: For foundational network knowledge.

Additional Requirements

  • Travel: Occasional travel to subsidiary locations and other sites as needed.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest technology trends and industry standards.
