Sales Analyst, Walmart

As Sales Analyst, reporting to a Sales Manager, you will maintain data and reporting to support our Walmart Grocery sales team, supporting iconic brands such as Wishbone, Hunt's, Duncan Hines, PAM and Mrs. Butterworth's. You will gather data through multiple sources to create reports to support sales reviews, customer business reviews, trends, pricing, and item distribution, while driving insights and action items. Working with multiple Customer Business Managers and Sales Directors to discuss and prioritize work goals, you will also assist with trade management and forecasting.

Your Impact

Trade Management

• Create, track, submit, and adjust trade events.
• Help create and maintain the annual business plan within the Trade Management tool.
• Update internal systems to reflect current item distribution.
  
  
  

Finance & Analytics

• Use multiple data sources (e.g. Circana, Luminate, Atlas) to identify trends in market share, pricing, and distribution to support the business.
• Evaluate effectiveness and execution of promotions and trade events.
• Research and document deductions and post-audits.
  
  
  

Administrative

• Set up new items and maintain existing item catalog with a focus on content quality.
• Update pricing changes in customer systems and monitor impact of retail price changes.
• Coordinate meetings with Customer Business Managers.
  
  
  

Retail/Sales

• Ensure high availability, visibility, and awareness of our products through distribution, feature, display, and marketing activations.
• Work cross-functionally to understand impact of modular relays including store walks, collecting shelf images, and analyzing pre/post trends.
• Create, maintain, and automate standardized reports using raw data. Present findings and recommendations to team members.
• Provide ad hoc category and item level trend analysis to support development of the team's customer plan.
  
  
  

Your Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1+ year of retail analytics or similar analytical experience.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Access, including pivot tables, lookup formulas and visualizations to manage and interpret large datasets.
• Proficiency in Walmart Luminate and syndicated databases (e.g. Circana) preferred.
