Inspector

Summary:
To perform inspections covering the repair and/or disassembly of aircraft engines from Willis Lease’s fleet and Third-Party Customers coming through the Repair Station. Performs a variety of tasks within a team environment and is self-motivated, driven by results, achievement, and in meeting goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of incoming and outgoing engines, components, and materials to meet quality control requirements as stated in the repair station quality control manual
- Determine that no defective, unserviceable, or non-airworthy condition exists prior to release to service, check all documentation.
- Check incoming engines, components, and materials for hidden damage.
- Perform Shipping and Receiving duties.
- Issue tooling and parts to mechanics.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Must have High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5–7 years experience with CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B, and V2500 engines preferred.
- FAA P License preferred; FAA A&P license preferred.
- Thoroughly familiar with all inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the quality and airworthiness of engines, components, and materials undergoing maintenance, repair, or alteration.
- Familiarize with and knowledge of FAA airworthiness directives, service bulletins, manufacturer's maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalog, and engine shop manuals.
- Proficient with current software packages, Microsoft Word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint, and other similar repair shop repair and tracking systems.
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, read, write, and speak English.
- Ability to lift or pull objects weighing as much as 70 pounds frequently.
- Agility to stand, lie, or kneel in awkward positions and to perform work from scaffolds or ladders.
- Manual dexterity is required to operate tools to adjust and repair.
- Sufficient visual acuity to inspect equipment for defects.
- Ability to work, at times, in small, confined spaces.

- Light – as needed.
