Our client seeking an experienced MEP Consultant to provide expert support for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) trades on commercial construction projects. This role involves working closely with the General Contractor (GC) team to ensure design standards and project specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the GC project team and sub-contractors, including architects and engineers (AE consultants), to ensure seamless coordination on all MEP aspects of the project.
- Review MEP submittals and ensure compliance with design guidelines and specifications.
- Conduct site visits to monitor adherence to project design and construction documentation.
- Coordinate with AE consultants to ensure design standards and contract specifications are followed.
- Assist with estimating and quoting for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs in construction documents.
- Provide Mechanical HVAC engineering and design expertise for large commercial/municipal HVAC systems.
- Review piping materials, diameters, and thicknesses to meet design requirements; size and specify relief devices, control valves, and regulators.
- Develop scopes of work and bid packages for construction and commissioning activities.
- Generate RFIs (Requests for Information), conduct quality control reviews of construction documents and as-built drawings, and participate in pre-startup safety reviews.
- Review and provide detailed input on Plumbing Design drawings for construction documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external team members, including safety, environmental, operations, construction, and third-party contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the project and client needs.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or electrical focus preferred).
- Extensive experience in construction renovation and new build projects.
- Proven Engineering Design and Construction Project Management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam, and MS Project.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
- A team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and skilled at managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch, and sit as required.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including Saturdays, as dictated by project schedules.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, and safety-toed boots) when visiting job sites.
