As an Order Picker, the company relies on you to ensure that customers receive orders promptly and correctly. Your mission is to pick merchandise and pack them correctly from their storage locations to fulfill customer orders and maintain inventory levels. By working in a fast-paced environment with handheld devices and picking equipment, you will locate items from their respective areas, retrieve them carefully, and then pack them orderly as directed by order specifications. Your attentiveness, quickness, and accuracy play significant roles in achieving the company goals.

Job Duties And Responsibilities Of Picker/Packer
- Utilize handheld devices or picking lists to identify and retrieve items located in specific storage locations.
- Complete orders with precision and swiftness by efficiently navigating through storage racks and aisles to retrieve items.
- In order to guarantee customer contentment, it is important to verify product details, quantities, and quality before the packing process.
- Appropriately prepare merchandise for transport by carefully packaging it using a range of packing materials, including packing peanuts, boxes, and bubble wrap.
- Attach shipping labels, barcodes, tracking codes, and other essential documents to the packages.
- Keep the warehouse management system up to date by updating inventory records with the items that have been picked and packed for shipping.
- Inform your manager as soon as possible if there are any inconsistencies or deficiencies in stock levels so they can be addressed promptly.
- The first step in the pick and pack process is to scrutinize the merchandise for any blemishes, damages, or inconsistencies.
- To prevent accidents and injuries in the warehouse, it is essential to adhere to the prescribed safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain a neat and well-organized workspace while operating equipment securely.
