The Director, Global Luxury Talent Acquisition provides high quality talent engagement and consulting services to meet the objectives for staffing leadership positions across the luxury portfolio. Specifically responsible for talent strategy and engagement for General Manager, Executive Committee leadership and above property positions in the US, Canada and CALA regions. In addition, this scope may expand to support continent luxury talent & culture leaders. This leader reports to the VP, Global Talent Acquisition, with a dotted line into the VP, Luxury Talent & Culture and partners closely with the COOs, Luxury Area MDs, Area teams and HR to identify priority luxury talent roles; create innovative diverse sourcing/search strategies; provide expert talent assessments; develop internal and external talent pool; and utilize Marriott staffing processes and tools, as appropriate. A key responsibility will be to track and report against aligned upon metrics, including but not limited to hire source, DEI, turnover, trends and analyses.

Expected Contributions - Essential Job Functions
Talent Acquisition
- Collaborates closely with the VP, Global Executive TA and Recruiting Operations to provide thought leadership for executive recruiting philosophies, processes, tools and tactics.
- Develops critical relationships and partnerships with corporate, market and regional leadership as well as corporate HR COEs (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Learning and Development)
- Provides consultative leadership and drives continuous process improvement for the Americas, including Caribbean and Latin America, Canada and across Luxury brands, as needed, in all aspects of executive searches.
- Assists in the development or enhancement of Executive Talent Acquisition processes, as needed, to drive operational efficiencies and best practices.
- Specifically responsible for strong attraction and acquisition of luxury talent, as highly exceptional talent must be aggressively sought after and cultivated for luxury to not only drive the guest experience but win within the industry.
- Cultivate talent pipelines internally and externally with an initial focus on GM and EC level talent.
- Build/maintain key relationships within the industry to engage high profile/highly desired talent in conjunction with MDs and continent luxury talent & culture leaders.
- Leads the Luxury Talent Sourcer Manager who will implement strategies related to talent sourcing (e.g., sourcing strategies, social media campaigns) for hotel luxury leadership roles around the globe and HQ roles. Building external talent pipelines for executive committee leadership roles up to executive leadership roles.
- Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to talent sourcing
- Advises HR Business Partners and hiring managers on TA strategies (e.g., sourcing talent, candidate slate development, offer negotiation strategies).
- Consults with VP, Global Executive TA and Recruiting Operations regarding policies and procedures related to executive search, GM talent search, assessments, etc.
- Collects, reviews, and analyzes TA metrics for market hotel roles (e.g., time to fill, internal/external, female/diversity staffing, etc.) to advise on staffing trends and opportunity areas.
- Reviews global talent acquisition metrics and quantitative/qualitative data points to evaluate effectiveness of talent sourcing initiatives.
- Owns reporting on the state of (global) luxury talent to MILUX Board & Luxury Operating Committee
- Develops HQ Luxury organization and hotel-specific Talent-related communications (e.g., sharing new initiatives, leadership announcements, training - LUX U)
- Supports global mobility conversations and planning for MILUX Board and Global Luxury Operating Committee Meetings
- Consults with Senior HRP, Luxury who leads mobility efforts for HQ to grow talent pipeline and for development.
- 8+ years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience.
- Experience in passive sourcing, direct outreach, talent planning/mapping, talent assessment and ongoing candidate engagement.
- Luxury brand experience is required, this is important for understanding the unique requirements and demands of the luxury industry and the exception talent sought to fill these positions.
- Prior executive search firm experience is advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
