Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HR Partner to join our team. This role is primarily focused on benefits management and leave administration while also helping the HR team with employee relations, data analytics and other HR activities. This strategic position requires a strong background in HR and the ability to handle complex projects with precision and efficiency. The HR Partner is a trusted partner to employees, managers and the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular benefits audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Educate employees on available benefits and assist with enrollment and inquiries
  • Assist with new hire onboarding experience including meeting (in-person or virtually) with new employees to explain benefits, policies and/or procedures
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll data such as maintaining and reconciling salaries, employee data and benefits deductions
  • Manage the employee leave process including FMLA, disability and leave of absence
  • Manage workers compensation, filing claims and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws
  • Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position
  • Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales
  • Prepare and present reports on various metrics
  • Ensure data integrity within HR systems and perform regular system audits
  • Assist in assessing and integrating benefits, HR systems, and processes of acquired entities
  • Stay current with trends, compliance, and best practices
  • Answers frequently asked questions for employees relative to benefits and compensation
  • Ongoing professional development by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; participating in professional organizations
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an HR role
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

Qualifications

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in data and reporting
  • Perform detail-oriented work timely and accurately with frequent interruptions
  • Manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Clearly conveys information and educates employees on benefits and policy
  • Basic Human Resource principles, practices, methods, procedures, and terminology
  • Knowledge of pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefits programs, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125 and workers' compensation
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including communication, patience, courtesy and compassion for employee issues
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and trust
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
