Summer Intern - Software Engineering

The General Dynamics Land Systems 2025 Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three-month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real-world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals.

This is a Summer 2025 Intern position within Software Engineering supporting Software Engineering Managers.

Responsibilities To Anticipate For This Role

• Attend collaboration meetings to discuss technical solutions.
• Perform tasks that cover all aspects of the software development life-cycle, including requirements definition, software design, coding, and unit test.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Provide project status.
  
  

Qualifications Sought

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline from an accredited 4-year university or college, in an Engineering discipline.
• Attained at least a sophomore status based on university/college's class standing requirements at the start of the internship
• Preferred - GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be a U.S. Person (i.e., a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.)
• Must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an official college or university transcript from their school before their first day of employment.
• Must be able to complete a minimum of a full-time, 3-month assignment.
