Site Mental Health Director - (LCSW / LPC / Ph.D. / Psy.D)



MindCare Solutions, is a leader in comprehensive mental health solutions in various settings: clinician owned and operated. We are seeking a Mental Health Director that is looking for a partnership in a growing organization with a strong team-mentality working in a juvenile facility.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

Compensation: Up to $135,000 (based on experience)

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the provision mental health services to inmates of the Department of Corrections consistent with community standards of care. Provides overall supervision for clinical services for the site. Serves as the liaison for mental health matters with mental health providers outside the system and provides "on-call" services.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the direct supervision and evaluation of all mental health staff.
• Implements and enforces all policies and procedures pertaining to the facility's mental health services.
• Meets regularly with the facility's Health Services Administrator to communicate information regarding mental health services.
• Coordinates mental health care with the medical department.
• Administratively oversees the referral process for psychopharmacological interventions.
• Oversees transfers of inmates to higher levels of mental health care when necessary.
• Attends all clinical and administrative meetings as scheduled by the Health Services Administration.
• Provides direct mental health services as needed.
• Oversees mental health discharge planning for inmates to be released into the community.
• All other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Masters level degree in Social Work (LCSW) or Counseling (LPC) or degree in Psychology (Ph.D./Psy.D) from an accredited graduate program in Psychology.
• Current, unrestricted Clinical or Counseling LCSW, LPC or Psychologist license in the State of New Jersey (NJ) (required)
• An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Applicants must successfully pass the required criminal background check  
• Capable of preparing written reports and able to handle legal depositions and court hearings.
• Maintains an active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
• Have excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling
• This position requires sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and independence
