Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform periodic inspections of calibration
- Be NDT level I certified by method in accordance with appropriate governing standards
- Read and processes parts and visual braze inspection
- Process FPI's and maintains records on all NDT equipment
- Inspect processes, methods and functions and perform process control inspections
- Process parts with high or normal sensitivity penetrant
- Identify problems and reports problems to supervision
- Interpret specifications and test results
- Perform ultrasonic testing
- Perform calibrations per procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement and supports business initiatives
- Effectively perform all essential functions of an Entry Level NDT employee
- Calibrate gauges
- Process parts with high or normal sensitivity penetrant
- Perform tests in two to three methods
- Interpret and evaluate final results with respect to applicable codes, standards and specifications in the certified method
- Assist with training and monitoring the work of other employees within the department
- Verifies the calibration status of all measuring and test equipment used in the work area including reference material
- Performs periodic work reviews and audits to assure compliance to the Quality System requirements
- Effectively perform all essential functions of an Intermediate Level Inspector
- Follow all safety and quality standards with willingness to lead by example
- Prepare written instructions for methods and techniques and writes reports for customer needs
- Organize and reports the results of non-destructive tests
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Willingness to maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Follow all safety and EHS policies and procedures
- Follow all GE and regulatory requirements
- Maintain quality workmanship with attention directed to task at all times
- Evaluate quality problems that inhibit the process with an effective solution
- Ability to adapt to new methods and / or customer satisfaction
- Must display good communication skills, both written and oral
- Maintain records and perform related duties in assigned department
- Cooperative in meeting schedules and customer satisfaction
- Display teamwork attitude towards others in department and facility
