Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager at Unicity International oversees all warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, production activities, and maintaining organization standards. This hands-on role ensures the accurate and efficient movement of materials and information through warehouse processes while managing ERP system entries to support inventory control. Additionally, the Warehouse Manager will lead safety initiatives, implementing weekly/monthly training and audits to uphold safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management: Monitor and adjust stock levels, conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile physical and system-based inventory, and maintain inventory accuracy through audits and bin transfers.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and promptly addressing discrepancies. Manage freight bookings for parcel and palletized shipments and prepare necessary documents.
  • Production Support: Pull, stage, and transfer materials for production; manage stock levels at auxiliary warehouse locations as needed to support production schedules.
  • Safety Coordination: Act as the on-site safety coordinator, developing and leading training sessions and conducting safety audits to ensure a safe working environment.
  • ERP System Oversight: Help implement and maintain ERP functions (including barcode/scanning systems) to streamline warehouse operations.
  • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment that complies with all standards.
  • Product Release Management: Coordinate product release processes to ensure timely shipments of finished goods.
  • Non-Inventory Consumables: Track and manage stock levels of consumables not listed in inventory.

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, with a focus on inventory management or ERP systems preferred.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English, with the ability to read and interpret documents, communicate effectively, and follow instructions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Proficient in basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as calculating rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Reasoning Ability: Strong decision-making and prioritization skills, with a practical approach to problem-solving and project management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with computers, especially Windows and Microsoft Office, with experience in ERP systems preferred. Accurate data entry skills are essential.
  • Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments; must be forklift certified (or willing to obtain certification).

Physical Demands

This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, bending, reaching, and the ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds frequently (up to 75 pounds occasionally). The role involves operating pallet jacks, moving large pallets (up to 2000 pounds), and frequent stair climbing. Vision abilities, including depth perception and focus adjustment, are essential.

Work Environment

The warehouse environment is moderately noisy, with occasional fluctuations based on operations. Reasonable accommodations are available to support qualified individuals with disabilities.
