Summary
The Educational Specialist will be responsible for helping the adolescents (12-18 years old) with their academic assignments. This would not be a traditional classroom setting. Up to 3 hours of the day will be spent on monitoring / helping students during the group sessions over a wide range of general topics (math, science, history, english, etc.). The remainder of the day will be dedicated to reporting the progress of the students to the parents and the school.

The Educational Specialist will be responsible for helping the adolescents (12-18 years old) with their academic assignments. This would not be a traditional classroom setting. Up to 3 hours of the day will be spent on monitoring / helping students during the group sessions over a wide range of general topics (math, science, history, english, etc.). The remainder of the day will be dedicated to reporting the progress of the students to the parents and the school.
Shift
- Monday - Friday
- Scheduled: 12:00pm – 2:00pm/3:00pm, 10-15 hours per week. - Some schedule flexibility available.
- Support the clinical team with teacher communication protocols for parents, school districts and outside agencies.
- Provide daily instruction for students attending the PHP and IOP programs.
- Ensure lesson plans and instruction align to standards and are designed to meet the individual needs and goals of each student.
- Ensure all education timelines and progress monitoring are completed with fidelity.
- Ensure lesson plans and instruction align to standards, including evidenced-based practices and materials.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding all company information.
- Completion of all required trainings as designed by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Teaching/tutoring experience working within Behavioral Health or Special Education preferred
