Overview
Talento has partnered with a global industry leader in supply chain solutions looking for an SVP of Operations who will establish and execute strategy and direct the work of the company’s manufacturing and service operations. Responsibilities include oversight of all employees at the company’s manufacturing plants and service centers while promoting a culture of belonging and growth. The SVP of Operations sets the annual budget targets and KPIs and delivers a comprehensive functional 3-year strategy. The role entails ensuring effective collaboration with the sales, finance, HR and innovation teams as well as driving continuous operational improvement.

The role entails ensuring effective collaboration with the sales, finance, HR and innovation teams as well as driving continuous operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning process for operations team and ensure alignment with company mission and cross functional plans
- Provide forecasts and annual budgets and coordinate with finance to determine financial and operational feasibility of capital spending plans
- Ensure that the operations organization adheres to safe work practices and achieves a goal of zero preventable incident
- Manage the daily deliverables of the operations team and drive a culture of accountability
- Travel to operations sites and customers as necessary to support the operational goals of the company
- Develop high performing teams and facilitate leadership to drive a sense of belonging at all levels
- Partner with HR on talent acquisition with a focus on a diverse team that is aligned with company values
- Ensure strong succession planning through the development of capabilities, coaching and mentoring
- Provide on-going feedback in the performance planning process to develop the capabilities of the team and to support employee improvement and growth opportunities
- Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or related field
- 10+ years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum five years of experience in leading teams and driving change
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of operational impact on the P&L
- Extensive cost modeling knowledge
- Lean manufacturing experience a plus
- Expertise in working effectively within all levels of an organization and with external business partners
- Adept as managing and guiding team on multiple project
- Excellent communication skills and ability to summarize and communicate information clearly
- Capable of leveraging data to drive decisions
- Ability to travel 60-70% to multiple sites, customers, company meetings and industry functions
