The Role
The North America GTM Manager for Sporting Specialty serves a very important role at HOKA, managing the planning to execution of programming with strategic wholesale partners in the sporting goods category, focusing on reaching and engaging with new and existing consumers. As the main point of contact between the HOKA marketing team and assigned accounts, this individual will lead the creation of a unique marketing strategy and calendar with each strategic account including but not limited to channel champion, REI. This individual will work collaboratively with corresponding Sales, Creative, Field Experience Team, Brand Communications, and entirety of the NA Marketing team to bring their plans to market in the NA Relationship building, cross-functional business management, data analysis and reporting are skills key to this role for building long term brand health and loyalty with consumers and accounts.
A strong candidate for this role is extremely organized, competitive, detail oriented, and operationally minded, and is an independent self-starter who will fearlessly lean into unfamiliar situations to learn new information and pose solutions for efficiency and productivity. This role delivers dynamic consumer engagement programs and drives sell through in world class wholesale experiences both in-store and online. This role is extremely valuable to the success of the entire NA commercial team, and strong communication, analysis and attention to detail will ensure that the role supports and progresses the business.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:
- Manage and own marketing initiatives as a part of the strategic wholesale strategy with internal HOKA team. This includes new and unique solutions that are bespoke and custom for the retailer based off consumer insights and intel that support product launches, brand building campaigns, always on efforts, robust digital marketing strategy and localized community events. Owning the process from ideation to delivery and following up with detailed results and insights.
- Owning custom POP projects, campaigns, and initiatives to assess effectiveness and continuously evaluate, communicate, and recommend optimizations and improvements with HOKA stakeholders. Do so while adhering to forecasted budgets and sharing with leadership for monthly recaps and using data to optimize for future plans.
- Collaborate and work cross functional including NA integrated marketing team to ensure assets support the needs of the NA region.
- Develop and lead executive-level presentations for key meetings with Sporting Good accounts that align the partner with HOKA’s long range plans for sustainable and measurable growth.
- Expert of the large retailer wholesale environment both digital and in-store, including experience leading projects
- Able to prioritize workflow, show initiative, and be proactive
- Able to think strategically and exercise good judgment
- Effective communicator with internal and external individuals
- Capable of operating in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment—making judgment calls and shifts as needed
- Highly competitive, motivated team player, collaborative and self-starter
- Previous experience organizing and supporting and executing marketing initiatives wholesale GTM initiatives with an REI or big box equivalent account is a plus
- 6+ years related marketing experience including trade, retail, brand marketing, experiential, and digital marketing, client-facing preferably in the footwear or run industry
- 2+ years developing and leading a team
- Experience managing a team remotely
- Experience within a wholesale environment, including experience leading projects
- Experience managing large and complex marketing budgets across multiple accounts
- Knowledgeable in current trends in sporting goods/outdoor/running/lifestyle/footwear industry
- Previous experience organizing, supporting and executing wholesale GTM marketing initiatives with accounts
- Footwear industry experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
