Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Coordination: Manage patient appointment schedules, confirm appointments, and handle rescheduling as needed.
- Data Management: Organize, update, and maintain electronic medical records and patient files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, healthcare providers, and internal staff, responding to inquiries through email, phone, or chat.
- Billing and Invoicing: Assist in processing invoices, patient billing, and insurance claims, ensuring that all documentation is accurately maintained.
- Administrative Support: Support team members with tasks like document preparation, research, report generation, and data entry.
- Record Keeping: Track and file reports, communications, and data to maintain a well-organized virtual office.
- Project Assistance: Provide administrative support on special projects as assigned, such as data analysis, report preparation, and document formatting.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure all practices comply with healthcare privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA) and company policies.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree or certificate in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a virtual assistant, administrative assistant, or in a healthcare support role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Organization: Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Confidentiality: Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Adaptability: Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Customer Service: High level of empathy and interpersonal skills, with experience in patient or client communication preferred.
- Competitive Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
