Siemens Grand Prairie Manufacturing facility is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Team Lead for their Product Development team.

You will make an impact by:

  • Lead Innovation and new product development for electrical equipment (Panelboards and Switchboards).
  • Manage a team of 3-8 engineers. Provide technical support and have overall responsibility for the success of the projects and performance of engineers.
  • Ensure the team follows appropriate design practices, follows necessary PLM process steps, and meets industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and plan projects including scope of work, schedules, costs and completion dates. Manage project tasks, coordinate tasks, monitoring progress, and set deadlines.
  • Assist department manager with budget planning – cost center expenses, project planning resources and CAPEX investments.
  • Technical coordination and communication within and between departments, project managers, and leadership.
  • Technical reviewer of ECN’s, develop training materials and evaluate and recommend process changes.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • BSME
  • 5+ years’ experience in new Product Development Engineering from concept to inception
  • Panelboard or Switchboard design experience
  • Minimum 3 years of Pro-E / Creo or similar 3d modelling software and Project Management experience using PLM process.
  • Strong working knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), product design and concept testing
  • Project Management experience using PLM process.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permaent basis without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s in engineering management or business administration (MSEM, MBA).
  • Prior management experience.
  • Proficient with MS-Office applications.
  • Prior experience with codes and standards organizations including UL, CSA, NOM, NEC, IEEE, ANSI NEMA, and others.

  • The pay range for this position is $108,850 - $186,600 and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
