- Directs the performance of the team through effective coaching, training and performance evaluations to achieve established goals and service levels. Monitors performance against goals and sets expectations to adhere to in order to meet service levels.
- Serves as subject matter expert and manages escalations as a point of contact for Mortgage Processing team members regarding procedures and issue resolution.
- Communicates effectively with Members, and internal customers to resolve escalations and ensures the mortgage areas run smoothly.
- Collaborates with the training department to establish a successful training environment for new and existing team members.
- Assists team members with complex mortgage processing issues, suggests alternatives, and assists in developing their ability to work independently in order to exceed member expectations and establishes ownership in the team member's decision-making capabilities.
- Evaluates procedures and workflows, makes recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the process and procedures. Works with internal stakeholders to implement process improvements, and use available technologies or systems to automate functions in order to reduce risks of errors and optimize productivity.
- Assists with responses to internal/external audits in a timely manner and adjusts process and workflow to address identified issues. Assists in developing internal controls to minimize audit findings.
- Assists in developing and analyzing reports to track and monitor production and profitability against stated Credit Union objectives and established standards.
- 3-5 years prior experience is required, preferably in a financial institution, prior Management, Supervisory or Lead experience required.
- NMLS certification is required (National Multistate Licensing System) and must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be available M - F 8:00am - 7:00 pm, and rotating Saturdays hours as needed
