As a Research Associate - Protein Sciences on our team, you’ll collaborate in the design, discovery, and production of therapeutic molecules. We’re open to a few different levels for this position, including Research Associate I, Research Associate II, Senior Research Associate, and Associate Scientist.

The role
We’re seeking a talented protein engineer to support early-stage drug discovery by designing, producing, and characterizing antibodies. We seek candidates with intrinsic desire to influence therapeutic development, jump in without hesitation, and execute in the lab relentlessly. As an early team member of Prox, you have the opportunity to guide our trajectory and grow alongside it.

About You
- Motivated to make medicine
- Detailed-oriented down to each nucleotide or amino acid
- Fast-paced and biased towards action
- Collaborative and people-centric
- Well-organized and data-driven
- Collaborate to design and analyze antibody constructs
- Produce and engineer antibody constructs for functional and bioanalytical testing
- Characterize molecules using a range of biophysical methods
- Discover or optimize antibodies using in vitro display technologies
- Document and communicate research results to drive molecule development
We recognize that a range of skill sets and backgrounds may excel in this role, but generally, we’re looking for someone with:
- Research Associate I - BS/MS with 0-2 years of industry experience
- Research Associate II - BS/MS with 2-4 years of industry experience
- Senior Research Associate - BS/MS with 4-6 years of industry experience
- Molecular biology and cloning workflows
- Protein expression and production, ideally from mammalian cells
- Protein characterization methods like ELISA, BLI, SEC, DSF
- Purification automation experience is a plus
- Experience with in vitro display technologies is a plus
