SUCCESS FACTORS (12-18 MONTHS):
- Logistics Process Architect: Your focus is centered on delivering our product safely, at an optimal cost, and on time to our customers. Working cross-functionally with our Flavor Operations and Sales teams, you will lead strategic initiatives that support efficient, cost effective, and sustainable processes that will contribute to fostering Torani’s growth. You carefully evaluate which process improvements you’d like to make for the short and long term. With that, you’ve delivered on MABD, cost per case, cost per pound, and other relevant metrics. Your expertise and experience will contribute to the development of processes that will ultimately enable an in-house Transportation Management System (TMS).
- People Leadership: As an experienced and inspiring leader, you take pride in developing a high performing team. You work to grow your team in close partnership with the People Team – recruiting, engaging, guiding, and mentoring your people in support of their growth and increased contribution. You’ve developed accurate job descriptions and set objectives for each role to help the team progress and motivate them to achieve their goals. You inspire collaboration and constant learning through coaching and feedback with a laser focus on building the contributions of the team.
- Logistics Business Partner: Torani products are moving down the road, by ocean, and in the air! You oversee the transportation and delivery of completed product orders to our customers while also guaranteeing the timely availability of raw materials and packaging supplies for our in-house production. You monitor the effective movement of finished goods within our network of co-manufacturers and 3PLs. You bolster our international business due to your extensive expertise in ocean freight and strong connections with local ports. Your success hinges on actively involving our carriers and cultivating robust vendor partnerships by ensuring they deliver to our service standards.
- Own Our Freight: Your expertise in managing freight operations will elevate Torani to the next level in product delivery. An expert in negotiating and handling RFPs with carriers, you play a crucial role in ensuring that we take into account "Torani Fit" alongside competitive freight rates when making decisions. You ensure carrier accountability by monitoring invoice discrepancies and promptly addressing any inconsistencies when detected. You continuously source and vet new carriers for our network, which positions Torani in a place to succeed in all things freight.
- Maximize Efficiencies: Your continuous improvement mindset allows for you to easily identify non-value add processes to substitute with highly efficient business practices. You and your team exemplify our good manufacturing and distribution practices, high standards of food quality, safety, and food defense. As our operation increases in volume, you shift the way we work so that we are prepared for any challenge. You remain focused on continuous improvement—always looking for ways to improve our on-time delivery results.
- Have FUN!
- At least 5+ years’ experience working with freight carriers
- At least 3+ years of people leadership experience
- Experience with implementing and maintaining a TMS system
- Managed several projects to completion, simultaneously
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
