What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for P&L of the brand new Seattle Division by leading a team of experienced managers and staff to execute the core business of community development and lot deliveries to homebuilders.
  • The Division President is solely responsible for the leadership and direction of the division while providing measurable growth of value to the company.


Responsibilities

  • Perform the obligations and signature duties required by the elected office state in the Corporate Authority resolutions
  • Responsible for establishing the business plan and goals for division profitability and growth
  • Oversees the policies regarding financial management, land acquisition and development strategy and direction, quality and general operations
  • Develop organizational plans for all land acquisition and development activities in the division
  • Chair regular staff meetings to provide strategic direction to ensure division is on course to obtain objectives.
  • Focus daily on processes and procedures to maximize resources to meet division goals and objectives
  • Recognize talent, recruit, retain and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful division
  • Ensure the management staff receive adequate functional data, assistance and service from staff group/departments
  • Establish monthly, quarterly and annual business review meetings identifying areas requiring corrective action, assigns responsibility and specific commitment dates
  • Build strategic relationships and a network of business contacts
  • Monitor market, identify trends and react quickly
  • Facilitate division compliance with all company policies and procedures, enforce all established standards
  • Provide counsel, guidance and coaching to the management staff in developing their personal management, capabilities and professional skills


What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of senior level experience leading teams acquiring and developing land for residential product
  • A strong financial real estate and due diligence background to justify investment opportunities
  • A strong background in raw land acquisition, entitlement and development
  • Knowledge of the Seattle land market to include experience developing relationships and presenting to local landowners, civic officials, zoning officials, etc
  • Experience working in the Homebuilding industry is a huge plus
  • Experience working within a “growth environment” for a firm going through heavy expansion is a nice to have
