Event Coordinator

Spherion Staffing is looking for a fulltime Event Coordinator in the Bismarck, ND region. The Event Coordinator will plan, coordinate and implement donor and volunteer engagement strategies. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration or communications and 2 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or volunteer management.

Monday-Friday, weekends as needed

Pay $20-24/hour DOE

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement strategy to provide year-round volunteer, fundraising and recognition events in an effort to create broad support for and awareness of the organization
• Work with leadership to develop a calendar detailing activities and events for the campaign
• Plan, implement and promote campaigns and year-round events
• Lead the recruitment, training, supervision and retention of volunteers to ensure quality experiences
• Develop/cultivate new and existing donors and event/program sponsors. Participate in calling on key accounts. Assist in developing the engagement strategy
• Responsible for overall event and engagement analysis and developing recommendations for future improvement
• Attend networking opportunities throughout the year. Live and represent the mission, vision and values of the company
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or related field
• 2 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or volunteer management preferred
• 2 years of events management experience
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Strong organizational, public relations and communication skills
• Creative and results-oriented self-starter
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Positive attitude
• Sound judgment, discretion and commitment to maintaining donor confidentiality
• Proficient in the use of technology
• Must possess a valid driver's license
