Responsibilities and Duties

As Controller, You Will Be Responsible For

  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company, managing month-end, quarter-end & year-end close process.
  • Ensure complete and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Coordination and review of Monthly and Quarterly account reconciliations, flux and variance analyses and other management review activities.
  • Ensure efficient accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Partner with the company executives and business unit leaders to analyze manufacturing, SG&A, working capital and budget preparation.
  • Key contact for internal and external audits across the company.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets.
  • Provide financial forecasts and analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Monitor and enforce accounting polices & procedures and related internal controls.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits to identify and address any areas of concern.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports for management, stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Provide insights and analysis on financial performance, trends, and variances.
  • Reconciliations, Financial Statement Preparation and Analysis.
  • Tax Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal tax regulations.
  • Oversee timely completion of Federal, State and Local Tax Returns.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve financial processes.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements and liaise cross-functionally to streamline existing processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and taxation.
  • Experience with multi location/multiple entities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Works independently, accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in accounting software such as SAGE Intacct or Net Suite.

Salary Description

$90,000 - $100,000
