Shields Health currently has an exciting opportunity for a Business Planning and Market Development Analyst based primarily out of our corporate offices in Quincy, MA with the opportunity for a hybrid model working a couple days each week remotely.
The Business Development Analyst will work directly with members of the Sr. Management Team to extract, analyze, refine, and synthesize data and strategic insights to answer business questions or support growth initiatives for the company.

A. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Reporting to Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the BDA will work directly with members of the Sr. Management Team to extract, analyze, refine, and synthesize data and strategic insights to answer business questions or support growth initiatives for Shields.
B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Master's Degree business or healthcare administration / finance / economics or related field.
D. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods and effectively utilizes computer and phone systems.
F. INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS
Extensive interaction with employees at all organizational levels and outside vendors/resources.

A. PURPOSE AND SCOPE
Reporting to Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the BDA will work directly with members of the Sr. Management Team to extract, analyze, refine, and synthesize data and strategic insights to answer business questions or support growth initiatives for Shields.
B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuously monitor standardized metrics and provide timely and accurate insight on company performance.
- Produce and present results of analyses, highlighting strategic implications and recommendations for Sr. Management.
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to supplement existing Business Intelligence (QlikView) functionality through the creation of visualizations that enhance executive insight on performance.
- Effectively communicate methodologies/data nuances of analyses and implications on key takeaways.
- Assist in department initiatives to maintain data integrity across multiple data sources/databases.
- Build optimization models to identify volume and revenue opportunities for existing MRI, PET/CT and ASC businesses.
- Track the performance of launched initiatives and analyze results.
- Research/present insights on market trends, which may influence corporate strategy.
- Leverage prior experience and comprehension of local market dynamics to support Sr. Leadership in the identification of Business Development opportunities.
- Analyze, track, summarize and report competitor trends and major initiatives.
- Evaluate and report market penetration.
- Other duties as assigned.
Master's Degree business or healthcare administration / finance / economics or related field.
D. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong analytical and optimization modeling skills
- Exceptional skills in Excel (PowerPivots, Solver, PowerBI), PowerPoint as well as experience with QlikView/QlikSense and Mapping Software such as Maptitude.
- Passion for turning data into strategic insights.
- Superior problem-solving skills with a high value in data integrity and analytic accuracy.
- Comfortable balancing big-picture assumptions and an appropriate level of data-backed detail to provide directional insight.
- Creativity to provide alternative solutions and new ideas.
- Familiarity with local (New England) healthcare market dynamics.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to drive projects to completion.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, which at times will involve evenings and weekends.
