As a member of our Assurance and Risk Advisory (ARA) function, you will play an integral role in bringing value to the business to help the organization achieve its strategic objectives. The Manager is responsible for leading and conducting technology-focused internal audit projects, including integrated audits with a focus on IT risks. This individual should have experience and expertise in identifying relevant IT risks across various systems and ERPs, and the ability to apply IT frameworks. Baseline knowledge of internal audit principles, methodologies, and practices is recommended. 

This role can be based out of our Flower Mound, TX; Portage, MI or Mahwah, NJ locations.

Subject Matter Experts. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the objectives and relevant risks associated with each audit, supporting the development of risk-based audit procedures and applying IA methodology and frameworks for efficient audit execution.

Effectively communicators. Articulates messages clearly and concisely, both verbally and in written form, while establishing strong rapport within the team and with external stakeholders.

Industry leaders. Stays abreast of industry news, trends, and emerging risks, proposing adjustments to internal audit activities based on these insights.

What You Will Do

  • Execute planning procedures and develop the scope and approach for ARA projects, including effectively communicating the audit plan and approach to stakeholders.
  • Manage the efficient execution of technology audits, including developing and thoroughly reviewing audit work programs, ensuring appropriate execution of audit procedures, and establishing and managing project deadlines effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between the audit team and stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication, trust, and accountability throughout the audit process.
  • Support the annual technology risk assessment process, including developing the audit plan and providing insights into industry-specific risks.
  • Develop and present actionable strategic recommendations using technology expertise to enhance operational efficiency and drive departmental initiatives.
  • Cultivate close collaboration with cross-functional teams to execute technology audit projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering team development.
  • Drive adoption of IT and security tools throughout the audit lifecycle, leading the adoption of technology-driven solutions to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing technology audit findings, remediation plans, and project outcomes for senior management review, guiding decision-making and risk mitigation strategies.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required
  • 8+ years of experience required
  • CISA or other relevant professional certification preferred
  • Knowledge of various ERPs, including ability to identify relevant IT risks
  • Knowledge of various cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO), IT systems, networks, and architectures.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage and lead teams
