Billing Coordinator

Responsible for assisting with the billing/revenue cycle (charge review, billing, denial management and appeals process, payment posting, accounts receivable management, and contract review as applicable) for all assigned payers.

• Create/maintain computerized information, order/distribute forms and CPT books, maintain call database for billing issues and maintain billing warrants information
• Process and mail claims, CIF’s, CIR’s and appeals (twice weekly)
• Post manual encounters
  
  
  

Minimum

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Minimum three years' billing experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a community health center
• Minimum one year experience with practice management system; NextGen preferred
• Billing certification preferred
  
  
  

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Experience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferred
• Strong typing/data entry (minimum 35wpm) and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to perform a high volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator quickly and accurately
  
  
  

Pay Range

• $21.00 - $24.00 DOE
