Collections Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Collections Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to negotiate payment terms, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Major Responsibilities

• Review and analyze customer accounts for delinquency
• Contact customers to discuss payment options and negotiate payment plans
• Document all collection efforts and update account information accordingly
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer disputes and discrepancies
• Prepare reports on collection activity and account status
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable
• Strong knowledge of collection laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
