Position Overview
The Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy of the organization, with the assistance of the team they lead. As a member of the executive leadership team, the ideal candidate has a strong business background, extensive marketing experience, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to set lofty goals and discipline to meet them.
We are a metric-driven organization - the Marketing Director is tasked with producing measurable results that drive the sales and profitability of the entire organization by generating interest and nurturing leads for all our products, including customized coaching, training, speaking, events, products and an online membership platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Create overall marketing strategy for the organization and all lines of business.
- Establish annual budget that supports the marketing strategy, as well as forecasting, tracking, measuring, analyzing, and reporting of key metrics and results.
- Work with a team of direct reports and third-party vendors to execute the marketing strategy, managing concept, creation and implementation of all printed and electronic marketing materials and messages.
- Direct a small but growing marketing team, partnering on our online membership platform, product development and overall data insights.
- Assist in developing and using market and competitive intelligence within the industry to determine feasibility and subsequent execution of strategic plans.
- Assist in identifying and developing new business opportunities through various channels, including creating and communicating targeted value propositions, defining target markets, and prospecting/evaluating the overall feasibility of opportunities.
- Build and/or guide inbound and outbound marketing strategies, including email workflows, pillar-based website development, and maximizing SEO.
- Participate with the company's management team in wholistically designing and delivering client value that supports the organization's strategy and objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or closely related field required. MBA or Master's degree in Marketing is a plus.
- 10+ years of demonstrated success in management and execution of the strategic marketing function in a company with annual revenues of $4M or greater; B2B marketing experience a plus.
- Extensive Hubspot (or related CRM) experience required.
- Technology savvy, to include proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
- Effective problem solving, teambuilding and collaboration skills. Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Demonstrated success leading a diverse team of contributors, both within and outside the organization.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Professional in appearance, performance and interpersonal skills.
- High level of energy and motivation.
