Summary

Assists the Director of Treasury Management in Identifying, analyzing, selling, and supporting cash management services and products to Correspondent Banks. Coordinate with other Lines of Business to provide banking solutions to existing Correspondent Banks and Prospective Correspondent Banks to ensure sales and growth goals are met. Assist in leading and developing a sales strategy to increase market penetration and maximize revenue for the Bank. Maintain industry knowledge of banking products, solutions, and pricing to keep Bank products current and competitive.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance is preferred but in-depth experience is also considered.
  • Five plus years of previous banking experience.
  • Strong knowledge of complex banking products, services, and account structures.
  • Knowledge of bank policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Technological competencies to understand, operate and explain the bank's products, operating systems, and support programs.
  • Innovative thinker who displays initiative, is self-motivated and able to adjust quickly to changing business landscapes.
  • Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment and make decisions in a consistent manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Primary Activities

  • Assist the Director of Treasury Management in directing, managing, and coordinating the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of the Correspondent Banking sales strategies for the bank.
  • Assist and or lead and develop sales strategy to increase market penetration and maximize revenue.
  • Assists or takes the lead in reviews of current products for future adjustments, improvements, expansions or elimination, depending on market strengths and weaknesses.
  • Respond to request for proposals, assessing customer needs and recommending effective strategies.
  • Monitor customer usage to identify and remediate customer attrition, maximize fee income, and maintain sound risk management practices.
  • Service current accounts and meet with existing accounts for expansion of business including the identification of new products and the enhancement of existing products.
  • Support the sales process through discussions with Lines of Business joint calls, product demonstrations and identification of fee income opportunities.
  • Maintain industry knowledge of banking solutions and pricing to keep products current and competitive.
  • Hardening customer retention work efforts by delivering superior level customer service.
  • Conduct research to determine the use of or need for new and existing products in the financial institutions market area.
  • Refers products as appropriate to other departments within the bank (Trust, Loan departments etc.)
  • Any other duties as assigned or requested.

Bank Secrecy Act

  • Maintain sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing/PATRIOT Act and OFAC regulations
  • To be able to fulfill applicable requirements and responsibilities under the bank's related policies and programs.
