We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Vice President of Lending to lead our Consumer, Commercial and Real Estate lending divisions. - Direct and monitor Consumer, Commercial and Real Estate Lending, Business Services Account Resolutions through subordinate managers, to ensure the Credit Union needs established goals and objectives. Monitor trends and take corrective actions to changes in portfolio volumes as well as delinquency and losses by individual loan category. Monitor product delivery and quality and take action to resolve problems.
- Drive automation and advancements in lending and collections technologies. Understand best method for incorporating both to enhance automated decisioning and workflows to facilitate a seamless member experience.
- Develop, propose, gain acceptance for and implement lending program policy and strategy; lead activity related to new product development with respect to lending programs.
- Serve as a member of the Asset/Liability Committee to develop operating procedures that ensure the credit union maintains sufficient levels of capital, liquidity, and pricing spreads. Review loan pricing and make pricing recommendations to ALCO.
- Work closely with stakeholders to meet market share and loan production goals and to ensure a competitive consumer lending product offering.
- Lead, evaluate, implement, launch, monitor and improve various loan origination systems, vendor changes or product launches.
- Lead the lending teams in evaluating loan applications, assessing credit risk, and ensuring sound underwriting practices.
- Ensure the Credit Union is in compliance with all lending regulations; develop procedural changes as compliance requires or new programs demand. Make recommendations on changes to the CEO and board.
- Monitor economic indicators to evaluate potential impacts on the loan portfolios to maintain a delicate balance between stimulating loan growth, maximizing profitability, and mitigating risks.
- Assist with long and short-term planning for the Mortgage Lending, Business Lending, and Consumer Lending departments. Prepare and analyze periodic loan reports for management review.
- Direct, develop, hire and coach staff; conduct performance evaluations and recommend appropriate personnel actions.
- Work with Collections/CFO to ensure loan portfolio mees company requirements for Delinquency and charge offs and change lending policy accordingly.
- Interface with Regulatory Exam regarding lending.
