Position Summary
Sanitation Team Members report directly to the Team lead and department supervisor. You’ll be responsible for always following all department procedures and practice, including Personal Safety and Product Safety.
Position Responsibilities
In performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, dust, airborne particles, loud noises and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; ear protection is required. The Production Supervisor will spend 90% of their time in the factory monitoring production activities and overseeing employee performances.

Position Summary

Position Responsibilities
- Will be responsible for performing the daily sanitation operations for the production floor and facilities.
- Maintaining the sanitation schedule and accomplishing scheduled and non-scheduled cleanings.
- Following all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) for each machine and piece of equipment.
- Maintaining the Inventory of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
- Following chemical storage practices, safety, and use. Testing and recordkeeping of chemical concentrations
- Collaborate closely with QA/QC team and Engineering to implement process improvements, and work on studies for verification and validation purposes.
- Monitor by inspection of production/cleaning areas within the food processing plant ensuring machinery is being sanitized properly and that all safety guidelines are being followed.
- Informing the department supervisors and QC techs once equipment is cleaned so that they can conduct the Testing of the machine parts and food contact surfaces for residuals and cleanliness when applicable. Visual verification and testing.
- Candidate will be responsible for the training of other team members when assigned to.
- Will be responsible for ensuring the safe proper use of all machinery, personal protective equipment, and chemicals.
- Completing and filling out documentation and records logs daily.
- Managing equipment and tools properly including their storage.
- Completing all assigned cleaning and job tasks within allotted times efficiently and effectively.
- Reporting any and all issues with food safety, equipment and tasks immediately.
- Reporting injuries immediately to supervisor.
- Will be responsible for ensuring all sanitation Corrective Actions are completed.
- Ensuing job tasks from the sanitation program that fits the needs of our food processing facility.
- Following SSOP’s for machines and their parts. Within each department.
- Responsible for the oversight of new sanitation equipment.
- Performing actual procedures for washrooms and preoperational inspections for them
- Chemical control and safety practice procedures and training of new team members
- The implementation of new sanitation equipment and hands on training and proper use, and creation of SOP, SSOPs for equipment. This includes both COP and CIP cleanings.
- Performing correct use of current machinery used for sanitation, and practice.
- Blender/packaging/grinding machine cleaning.
- Breakroom/cafeteria/refrigerator/bathroom cleaning and stocking.
- Reviewing washroom procedures, how parts are cleaned and how they should be cleaned. And communicating the needs to other team members
- The safe proper use of all machinery, personal protective equipment, and chemicals.

- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work Fridays, Sundays, and late nights
- Consumable Manufacturing background as a plus
- Food safety or food processing educational background as a plus
- Sanitation and cleaning background a plus
- Full-time Hourly
