Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)

Basic Requirements:
Social Worker (Program Coordinator), GS-12
Experience and Education. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills and judgment, demonstrating progressively more professional competency. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience.
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs:

Duties
Duties Include:
- Provides oversight with staff who review agreements between Section 8, landlords, Public Housing Authorities and the VA in establishing appropriate referral sites for HUD-VASH placements.
- Prepares directions to staff who verifies status, eligibility for VA medical care, and eligibility of program participation.
- Establishes a process for referral and admissions to the HUD-VASH Program, ensuring that homeless veterans are considered primary participants for program acceptance.
- Collects and submits HUD-VASH Program participant data as outlined by HOMES evaluation procedures.
- Coordinates care including serving as an advocate on behalf of the veterans to ensure comprehensive services delivery and linking and referring veterans to the VA Medical Center, VA Regional Officers and/or community agencies.
- Develops and administers local policy and SOP for the HUD-VASH Program. This includes maintaining policies and documentation and required for CARF and the Joint Commissions accreditation.
- Participates in program planning and development, advising the supervisor of shifting trends with caseloads and identifying the need for and making recommendations on program procedure or policy changes based upon work experiences.
- Takes responsibility improving professional skills, participating in planning and executing specific staff development projects, attending seminars and seminars and institutes, and participating in training programs of other disciplines as requested.
- Works with VA Medical Center multi-disciplinary teams and community agencies to strive for developing more effective and efficient ways of delivering healthcare services to HUD/VASH Program veterans.
- Supervises employees to accomplish work of the organization unit. Exercises supervisor authorities and responsibilities involving work assignment and review, as well as the administrative and personnel management functions relative to the staff supervised.

Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. - Ability to provide training, orientation, and guidance within clinical practice.
