Crown Laboratories, Inc. is currently recruiting for an Associate Scientist

This position will be located in Johnson City, TN - (On-Site)

About the role:

• Perform experiments on microbiome-related products using general biological techniques including microbiological techniques
• Cultivation and maintenance of animal and human cells
• Measurement and assay of effects and benefit factors of products using animal and human cells
• Perform basic experiments for R&D and product extension/improvements
• Primary management and maintenance of the microbiology and cell biology lab and equipment: Purchase necessary materials and prepare necessary experimental materials
• Keep detailed records of experiments and laboratory management
• Conducting necessary work and experiments while assisting the Director of Biological Science
  
  

Primary Responsibilities:

EXPERTISE

• Molecular biology technique: DNA, RNA, and Protein works.
• DNA cloning and protein expression using molecular biological techniques
• Isolating total RNA, and comparison of expression levels of genes by various conditions through RT-PCR
• Manage chemicals and devices in the cell biology labs
• Better to have, not required
• Techniques for basic animal cell culture, storage, maintenance, etc.
• Cultivation of different animal cells under different conditions and optimization of growth conditions
• HPLC, FPLC
  
  

INTERFACE/COLLABORATION

• Confirmation of the effects of the products provided by the production facilities through various experiments using animal cells.
• Experimentation and work assistance in MicoLab and MicroFacility
• Assist with pharmaceutical development R&D when needed
  
  

Job-Related Qualifications / Skills:

• Mater degree in a Biological Science, Biochemistry, Biomedical science, or similar field
• Ability to effectively work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Well-organized and able to properly record experimental data and report on progress

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)
