Description

Join Our Team as a Early Childhood Education Coach!

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and families? Do you believe in empowering early childhood educators and creating pathways for a brighter future? At Community Action Marin, we’re on a mission to uplift communities and provide children with the best start in life – and we want you to be a part of that journey!

About The Role

As the Early Childhood Education Coach, you’ll lead the charge in ensuring that our licensed family childcare providers deliver high-quality, nurturing early childhood education. You’ll coach and support providers in using the Creative Curriculum, help them achieve their Child Development Associate credential, and make sure they’re fully integrated into our Children and Family Services division.

This role goes beyond coordination – it’s about creating impact. You'll mentor providers, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and ensure our children receive the best possible care. From one-on-one coaching to leading workshops and meetings, you’ll help build a strong, supportive network that champions the growth of both the children and the caregivers.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Empower Family Childcare Providers: You’ll be a mentor, guide, and advocate, helping providers grow their skills, create safe and enriching environments, and ultimately change lives.
  • Drive Excellence in Early Childhood Education: Through hands-on support, coaching, and compliance monitoring, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the future of early learning in our community.
  • Make an Impact Every Day: Whether you’re leading workshops, training providers, or ensuring program compliance, everything you do will be centered on providing children with the best start in life.
  • Collaborate and Grow: Work alongside passionate, mission-driven colleagues in a dynamic environment that encourages creativity, growth, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • A leader with a BA/BS in Early Childhood Education or a related field and 3+ years of experience working with young children (birth to age 3), particularly from low-income backgrounds.
  • A bilingual communicator (Must speak Spanish & English) who can effectively connect with diverse populations.
  • A mentor and coach with 2+ years of experience training adult learners or early educators, and someone who is passionate about supporting family childcare providers to thrive.
  • Someone with a deep commitment to equity and inclusion who aligns with our values of meeting community members where they are and centering their strengths.
  • A creative problem solver who embraces change and fosters a culture of excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing or supporting family childcare homes.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools like DRDP, ECERS, and CLASS.
