Our client is seeking a motivated and analytically driven Statistical Assistant to join their Virtual Currency Unit within the Research and Innovation Division. This role will support the Virtual Currency Data Governance group, contributing to the transformation of data and business processes while developing data analytics and reports.
Review and monitor the quality of data submissions, identify trends, and recommend actions based on variances.
Design and prepare periodic reports in accordance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and address outstanding items.
Automate manual processes and reporting using technical expertise.
Compile and compute data using statistical formulas for analysis and studies.
Analyze complex data sets to recommend procedures using various analytical and statistical approaches.
Utilize business intelligence software (e.g., Tableau) to create dashboards and visualize data.
Prepare business analytics and assist in developing metrics and reporting.
Respond to ad hoc requests for data, aggregations, and visualizations.
Conduct research and analysis on data definitions, usage, system flows, challenges, and opportunities.
Develop documentation, including data dictionaries, policies, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Accounting, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Information Technology).
Minimum of four (4) years of financial services experience in areas such as Metrics and Reporting, Statistical Data Analysis, Business Analytics, or Data Governance.
Preferred Skills
Experience in metrics and reporting, data analysis, and data visualization.
High-level proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, macros).
Understanding of relational database management systems and SQL.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong autonomy and effectiveness in cross-functional team settings.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task across projects.
Basic knowledge of the cryptocurrency market is a plus.
