We are seeking a seasoned Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to enhance our team at a leading global chemical company located in Eastern North Carolina. In this crucial role, you will serve as the subject matter expert entrusted with ensuring the safety, operational efficiency, and reliability of rotating machinery across multiple facilities. You will leverage your specialized knowledge to influence facility-wide best practices, bringing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. This role offers the opportunity to make significant impacts by driving development programs, managing equipment specifications, and optimizing maintenance operations.

- Continuously monitor the performance of rotating equipment; analyze data trends and develop strategic action plans for improvement.
- Offer specialized technical support for equipment specifications, design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Guide and support during outages and turnarounds by advising on equipment disassembly, inspection, and repair methods.
- Engage with original equipment manufacturers on design improvements, repair protocols, and new technology integrations.
- Act as a key liaison between facilities and vendors to streamline communication and resolve equipment-related issues swiftly.
- Lead initiatives to craft comprehensive mechanical integrity programs for rotating equipment and improve internal maintenance protocols.
- Stay abreast of industry advancements and technical innovations, integrating cutting-edge solutions to enhance machinery lifespan and performance.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, operators, and maintenance personnel, enriching staff competencies related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of direct experience in the reliability and maintenance of rotating equipment.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with troubleshooting, repairing, and selecting rotating equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME, API Standards, and Process Industry Practices relevant to rotating equipment.
- Proven background in the chemical, refinery, petrochemical, pulp & paper, or fertilizer industries.
- Strong familiarity with process safety management systems and Quality Control programs.
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certifications in vibration analysis, equipment diagnostics, or similar fields.
- Proven track record of leading successful projects that enhance facility operations.
- Experience with digital monitoring tools and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Fluency in data analysis software and advanced diagnostic tools.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey complex information in an understandable way.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a methodical approach to troubleshooting and documentation.
