With the Internal Audit group, the Auditor II will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial and operational processes. Responsibilities
- Plan and perform moderately complex audits or participates with teams performing audits of departments, financial statements, regulatory reports, potential acquisitions, contractors, operational controls and procedures assuring use of acceptable audit standards.
- Perform special assignments as directed.
- May serve as lead auditor on team audits.
- Bachelor's degree required
- Degree in accounting, auditing, business, information systems, finance, or economics preferred
- Coursework in auditing, analytical areas, computer applications, and/or professional certification preferred.
- Four years directly related experience.
Special Requirements
- This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employee's position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN.
- Effective interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain productive working relationships and positively affect results.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match and/or aptitude.
