Community Relations and Match Day Presentation Intern

Position Overview

In this role you will learn how to manage and coordinate community engagement events. You will work in our Marketing Department with community relations activities and administrative duties that will enhance your skills. During our soccer season you will work on all of the details helping to coordinate and execute fan engagement experiences and operational marketing aspects during our matches.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements Include But Are Not Limited To

• Assist in creating community relations programs to ensure the El Paso Locomotive FC visibility.
• Assist the operation of the Mascot Program, school appearances, and El Paso Locomotive FC Educational Programs.
• Maintain the process of the donation process and handle continuous donation requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist marketing department with various campaigns as needed.
• Capturing photos and fun videos at community appearances to be used in various club platforms.
• Research and coordinate in-game promotions.
• Assist in all back-of-house production logistics.
• Act as main point of contact for in-game talent including but not limited to National Anthem singers, Color Guard, and Pre-Match performers.
• Assist with making sure that all performers are confirmed and to schedule sound checks when necessary.
• Assist in creating parking passes and nameplates for the team and technical staff.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Candidate must be a current student in their junior or senior year of college.
• Must have a focus in marketing, or sports marketing management.
• Strong leadership and team communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, especially on match days.
• Must have a good understanding of Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, but not required.
• Must be available to work all El Paso Locomotive FC home games, we will work with a school schedule.
  
  

This internship will start in January/February 2025 and you will be expected to remain until the end of the Locos Season. We cover $750 a month of your living expenses, and then pay you $10 for every hour you are scheduled to work in games. YOU MUST LIVE LOCALLY IN THE EL PASO AREA FOR THIS ROLE.
