Job Description

We are currently seeking a Joint Space Planning Instructor in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise in command relationships, the integration of space operations with theater operations and the development of plans to effectively use space.
  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise on the integration of space operations with theater operations and the development of plans to effectively use space.
  • Provide extensive subject matter expertise on combat in all the relevant domains, land, sea, air, space and cyberspace.
  • Ensure these subjects are correctly and effectively incorporated into lesson plans, visual aids, student study materials, and student prerequisite materials.
  • Develop, maintain, and administer all lesson measurements to ensure all Samples of Behavior are properly evaluated in accordance with ISD practices and timelines.
  • Escort and introduce visiting lecturers.
  • Read, analyze, and critique student assignments.
  • Monitor, evaluate, tutor, counsel, grade and provide comprehensive feedback on student exercises and assignments.
  • Research, write, review and edit books, journal articles and reports.
  • Present papers and briefings to professional organizations, societies, and symposia.
  • Conduct research to identify changes across the global space enterprise and incorporate relevant changes into the curriculum to ensure currency of delivered material.

Required Experience

Active TS/SCI

  • Masters degree or higher in national strategy, international relations, foreign policy, and/or national-level public policy, geopolitics, space studies, space sciences, and/or astronautical engineering.
  • 3 years of experience in curriculum/lesson development and instruction
  • 3+ years of experience planning in joint and/or international environments
  • JPME II or JPP / MDMP Trained / Experienced
  • 8+ years of experience in relevant field

Desired

  • Past military active-duty and/or federal government civil-servant experience.
  • Past professional experience in space programs and operations (satellite operations, launch, etc.)

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $115,000 to $125,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
