The Human Resources Department of Washington County is recruiting for an Employee Engagement Research & Evaluation Analyst to join our team.
The Employee Engagement Research and Evaluation Analyst designs, implements, and analyzes employee engagement surveys to assess perceptions and overall satisfaction of employees within Washington County. This role involves collecting data, providing insights, and recommending strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and countywide and department-specific organizational culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of employee survey best practices, strong analytical skills, experience with survey design, and the ability to evaluate, interpret and effectively present and communicate complex data with multiple audiences and stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience in survey design and development, especially in creating and customizing employee engagement surveys.
- Proficiency in utilizing data collection and analysis tools to identify trends and patterns and address areas of concern, including the use of statistical methods and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of developing and presenting clear, concise reports with actionable insights and recommendations for enhancing employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Strong collaboration skills to effectively work closely with Human Resources, leadership and various stakeholders to support engagement initiatives and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Benchmarking experience to compare internal survey results with industry standards and benchmarks to assess the County’s performance.
- Understanding of continuous improvement to stay current in best practices of employee engagement and survey methodology.
- Knowledge of demographic data measurement and subgroup analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in business or public administration, criminal justice, health administration, economics, social work, psychology, social sciences, an ethnic-studies applied research-related discipline, or related field; AND
- Five (5) years of pertinent professional research experience which must include responsibility for the determination of research design and method for a complete research project.
