Machinist Production Specialist

Job Title: Production Machinist (4⁄10 Shift, Temporary, Second Shift)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Machinist to join our dynamic team on the second shift, working from Monday to Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to adhering to safety protocols while performing specialized machine operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in the setup of intricate production machinery and conduct thorough testing and analysis in alignment with company policies and safety guidelines.
• Operate, maintain, and repair various machining tools including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses.
• Diagnose technical issues, disassemble machinery, assess repair needs, and carry out necessary repairs or replacements of parts.
• Perform machining operations based on detailed specifications from oral and written instructions, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
• Maintain a regular and punctual attendance record, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, or additional hours as required.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in semi-repetitive specialized machine operations.
• Extensive experience operating machining tools.
• Competence in utilizing hand tools and machinery with precision.
• Ability to interpret and follow instructions from sketches, blueprints, and engineering documentation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise judgment based on previous experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in machining operations.
• A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience is preferred.
• Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent practical experience in a related field is desirable.
