Job Overview

Join the esteemed Compass Health Network as a Nurse/Medical Assistant and play a crucial role in delivering quality and compassionate care to our communities. We are excited to offer a \(1500 sign-on bonus for Medical Assistants and an additional \)2500 for Nurses. Your responsibilities will include managing a Medication Clinic and serving as a case manager, ensuring our clients receive exceptional care while collaborating with Clinical Doctors and Customer Relations Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and coordinate the medication clinic.
• Cross-train to assist in clinics and regions as needed.
• Review and discuss medication education forms and clients’ refill needs.
• Complete documentation for the medication clinic and psychiatric consultations in EHR.
• Administer IM medication, dispense samples, and maintain accurate medication logs.
• Assist with Prior Authorization and monitor injection lists.
• Conduct pre-visit nursing assessments while documenting vital signs.
• Perform metabolic screens and other quality interventions as required.
• Follow the Med Refill Protocol and document as appropriate.
• Screen telephone inquiries for proper referrals and maintain patient records.
• Uphold standard precautions and ensure cleanliness of the unit.
• Monitor and order medical supplies when necessary.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in medical office procedures and terminology.
• Capability to perform venipunctures and other medical procedures.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Practical Nursing Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• At least two (2) years of equivalent work experience if an Associate's degree or Medical Assistant certification is not held.
• Preferred: two (2) years of medical office experience and knowledge of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
