Role Definition
To serve as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
What You Will Do
Sustainability: Basic Knowledge of sustainability strategy; ability to integrate sustainability into the overall business strategy of the organization to build a sustainable business model.
Risk Management: Working Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
Collaborating: Working Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Interpersonal Relationships: Working Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Overcoming Resistance to Change: Working Understanding and insight into the futility of refusing to accept the inevitable and ability to overcome resistance and adapt to a complex and changing environment.
Problem Solving: Working Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Extensive Knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies; ability to implement EHS policies to ensure that provided products and services are safe for people and the environment and in compliance with legal requirements and standards.

Role Definition
To serve as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
What You Will Do
- Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Supports division facilities in managing hazards associated with high energy and SIF/pSIF potential.
- Supports enterprise safety driven strategy initiatives including: Human & Organizational Performance HOP, Culture improvement projects & leader/employee development.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions and alerts line management to problems.
- 4 year College or University degree.
- EHS related field is desired and Technical majors are acceptable.
- EHS related certifications.
- Manufacturing experience.
- Extensive regulatory compliance knowledge.
