Position Summary
As a Recruiter, you will be an integral part of our talent acquisition team, driving efforts to source, attract, and select exceptional individuals who will help us fulfill our mission of fostering curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning among young minds. You will oversee the entire recruitment process, ensuring a streamlined and positive experience for all participants.

This remote position is based in Northern California, with occasional in-person attendance required for recruiting events. Please note this position will not commence until January of 2025.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive initial screenings to assess candidates’ qualifications, interests, and alignment with our organizational culture.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews to evaluate candidates’ skills, experiences, and cultural fit.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Facilitate smooth communication between candidates, the recruiting team, and Program Managers to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the selection process.
- Act as a liaison for Program Managers and Partner Relations Managers, keeping them updated on applicant progress and hiring requirements.
- Provide prompt and thoughtful responses to candidate inquiries, guiding them throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.
- Ensure candidates possess a clear understanding of our mission, values, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Cultivate and maintain a robust network of potential candidates for both current and future openings, fostering enduring relationships.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including interview scheduling, feedback collection, offer negotiations, and onboarding documentation.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to maintain accurate and updated candidate records.
- Oversee all records related to hiring, onboarding, and evaluations, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Manage communication related to initial and ongoing staff training for new hires.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or 3 years of experience in recruitment or management roles, with a strong grasp of HR practices and principles.
- Proficiency in HR software and systems, with the capacity to quickly adapt to our specific tools (Paylocity, Monday, SLACK, Airtable, etc.).
- Familiarity with Google Drive, including file organization and advanced search functionalities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills, enabling the execution of independent work and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of California employment laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining keen attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for and commitment to our mission and values.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker is a plus!

Compensation And Benefits
- This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position, with a competitive hourly pay range of \(25 - \)26.50, commensurate with experience.
