You will be instrumental in creating an engaging and supportive environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, and joy for K-8 campers.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in training sessions to prepare for an exceptional camp experience.
- Lead and mentor assigned camp teams, ensuring that all activities reflect our mission and values.
- Step in for Camp Directors and Assistant Camp Directors when necessary, overseeing staff, camper interactions, and daily operations on short notice.
- Maintain open communication with families through regular updates, addressing concerns and ensuring every camper feels supported.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies, conducting regular safety checks.
- Strong leadership capabilities with an emphasis on team management.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with campers, families, and staff.
- Adaptability to fulfill diverse roles as needed in various environments.
- A student-centered approach that prioritizes engagement and connection with K-8 students.
- Proficiency in handling employee relations and compliance matters.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in K-8 education or a relevant combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of demonstrated management experience with a focus on coaching and team development.
- Availability to work part-time remotely starting February 2025 and transition to full-time on-site beginning June 2025.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple camp locations throughout the summer.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain certification prior to camp commencement.

Compensation And Benefits
- Weekly Salary: $1,450 based on geographic location and tenure (Full-Time, exempt during summer camp operations).
- Training & Camp Preparation Rate: $23 per hour based on geographic location and tenure (Part-Time, non-exempt).
- Potential bonus eligibility for serving as the acting Camp Director for a full calendar week.
- Additional perks include unlimited free camp for your child(ren), 15% off a Friends and Family Discount, priority nomination for financial assistance scholarships, and eligibility for mileage reimbursement over 40 miles round trip per day.
